RICHMOND — One of many 4 folks wounded in three separate shootings Sunday evening has died from his accidents, based on authorities.
Maekelwe Embaye, 44, of Richmond, died at a hospital after being rushed there, as had been two different males and a girl. The shootings all occurred inside 90 minutes, police stated.
The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Workplace recognized Embaye on Wednesday.
Embaye’s dying marks certainly one of six homicides within the metropolis this 12 months. The sixth occurred Tuesday evening, when gunfire broke out within the 1600 block of Chanslor Avenue round 5:05 p.m., killing 56-year-old Miguel Ramirez, of Richmond. The coroner recognized Ramirez on Wednesday.
The killings are the primary within the metropolis since January, when the town recorded 4. Three of these victims died in a spate of shootings six days aside.
Police haven’t made introduced any arrests in the latest assaults, nor have they stated what the motives within the shootings had been. They haven’t recognized any suspects.

A drive-by taking pictures wounded a person close to the intersection of First Avenue and Nevin Avenue about 35 minutes later, and someone shot a person within the 4600 block of Portrero Avenue round 11:30 p.m., police stated.
