OAKLAND — An 18-year-old man who informed police he was shot Thursday evening whereas driving in a automobile, was recovering Friday, authorities mentioned.
The person was dropped off by somebody at a hospital about 8:17 p.m. Thursday and was being handled for a graze wound to his head. His situation was not accessible.
Police mentioned the person would solely say he was in a automobile when he heard gunfire and realized he had been wounded. It was not clear if he was driving the automobile or was a passenger.
He turned uncooperative and police had been in a position to decide by a ShotSpotter alert that the person had apparently been shot within the 1500 block of 33rd Avenue within the Fruitvale district. No different accidents had been reported.
The motive for the taking pictures has not been decided and no arrests have been made.
