One bystander advised 9News the motive force appeared to intentionally steer towards the tree.
“He began driving erratically and immediately sped, a fairly deliberate drive into Hindmarsh Sq. and there have been some individuals standing close to the tree that he is hit, they scattered,” witness Paul Richards stated.
